Roofs

Nothing kills a home’s curb appeal more than an ugly roof.  In the early 70’s, roof shingle manufacturers began using fiberglass to produce their products.  Crushed limestone is added to shingles as filler and to make them heavier and sturdier.

Unfortunately, limestone is an excellent source of food for Gloeocapsa Magma (GM).  GM is a bacteria that can grow from a tiny spore to a long, ugly black streak on YOUR roof!  It not only likes limestone but also a hot, humid environment… sound like HOTLANTA?

WashWorks can remove those stains from your roof to give your home a fresh clean look.  We NEVER use high pressure to remove the roof stains.  Pressure can quickly remove the aggregate in the shingles and compromise your roof’s integrity.  We use professional grade chemicals that attack and loosen the bacteria from the roof.  The water is only needed to rinse the chemical and bacteria off the roof.
